We have been established since June 1993, a family run business with a history of excellence and a diverse range of skills within the construction industry.
Headed by Managing Director David Smith, Argyle Construction are now in our 23rd year of trading and are looking forward to soon be celebrating the 25 year milestone.
Our selection of services cover everything from surfacing works, groundworks, block paving, and various building works such as masonry, joinery and plastering. We are proud to have long standing relationships with many of our suppliers allowing us to obtain manufacturers accreditations to use their individual products. We are one of the leading Surfacing (Asphalt / Tarmac) Contractors in the Manchester area.
We have the ability to undertake all varieties of projects and have the necessary resources and experience to undertake these jobs with a professional service that our reputation is based upon.
Argyle N.W Construction’s extensive client portfolio includes local authorities such as Salford City Council, Urban Vision, and Galliford Try. Facility management companies such as Romec (Royal Mail), Novis, Spie and house builders such as Barratt Homes, David Wilson Homes, Wainhomes and Morris Homes. A large portion of our work is also based within the domestic sector carrying out private driveways and the construction of vehicle crossings for which we personally arrange all of the relevant permits with the local authority on your behalf.
In 2005 a joint venture between Salford City Council, Capita and Galliford Try was set up. This was to provide key services such as Engineering, Highway Works and Traffic and Transportation to name but a few. Within the last decade the city as undergone a significant transformation thanks to the vision and investment from Salford City Council, partners and private investors.
During this time, before this partnership was set up Argyle Construction undertook a large and varied amount of work such as major highway improvements, planing off and resurfacing, highway and footpath remedial, footpath flagging works, white lining and all traffic management that is required.
A large proportion of our work involves carrying all preparation and surfacing work on new housing developments. We have the capabilities of carrying out all remedials and preparation works such as kerb remedials and lifting and replacing of ironwork, as well as carrying out a full level survey checking that all of the required falls are met to optimise surface water drainage. We then have teams that hand lay smaller areas such as driveways, footpaths and parking areas and teams that machine lay larger carriageway areas. We are conscious that the majority of these developments are already occupied so the logistics involved carrying all of this work have to be done in a sensitive manor trying to allow access at all time and keeping all disruption to a minimum. We are experts in Asphalt / Tarmac Laying so speak to your local Surfacing Contractor in Manchester today.
Here at Argyle NW Construction we have all of the necessary licences, street work certificates and public liability insurance to carry out any work to your property that may fall within the ownership of the local authority. This generally includes new or alterations to existing dropped/vehicle crossings and any alterations to existing drainage that the prospected work may impact on.
Our residential works can include the design and construction of complete new driveways, patios and full landscape projects. Whether your enquiry is for a specific coloured tarmac or natural stone paving we are accredited by a number of large manufacturers and suppliers to lay their products. We can provide samples and advice of a product that we feel is suitable for your properties characteristics.
Procuring specialist facilities management services is now common practice within certain organisations and allows all forms of maintenance to be much more accessible and within the required timeframes.
Reactive maintenance – A maintenance related problem can occur at any time, and on any day of the week. It might be a real emergency that has to be dealt with immediately, or something routine, but nevertheless needs a response within a reasonable timeframe. At Argyle Construction we have multi-skilled operatives thus avoiding the need for repeat visits to the same call out, which also avoids escalated costs to the client. A lot of our clients operate a 24/7 in house call centre so we have to react immediately if that specific problem needs to be dealt with.
